We have encountered a problem in the accounting module with the
(continious) sales invoice numbering.
The problem is that it isn't continuous.
When creating a purchase invoice with a 'from party' that is an
internal
organisation in OFBiz, the purchase invoice gets a number that uses
the
numbering of the 'from partyId' and not that of the 'to partyId'.
For example:
There are 2 internal organisations, A and B, in OFBiz, both using the
accounting module.
The numbering of the sales invoices of organisation A is like: AAA1,
AAA2, AAA3, etc.
The numbering of the sales invoices of organisation B is like: BBB1,
BBB2, BBB3, etc.
Now organisation B creates a purchase invoice with organisation A
as the
'from partyId'.
This purchase invoice will get a number starting with the prefix of
organisation A; AAA4.
This poses problems for us in the legal domain, because our friends
from
the tax authority demand the numbering is continuous...
Is there a reason for the current way of implementation? Or is this a
valid issue? If so please let me know, then I can see if I can fix it
and create a patch.
