Hi Deepa,
Service 'IN' parameters are validated. Default is allow-html="none". So
you must try this:
1) <attribute name="scanResult" type="String" mode="IN" optional="false"
alllow-html="safe"/>
or
2) <attribute name="scanResult" type="String" mode="IN" optional="false"
alllow-html="any"/>
This will allow Special Characters.
