This is what specialpurpose is supposed to be. To create a branch we really need contributor(s) commitment and at least a
committer.
BTW the jQuery is there only for history purpose, it has been merged back to the trunk, same for addbirt and
multitenant20100310. The others have not been yet merged or are abandonned.

Ofbiz is a vast software system with multiple applications and a steep
learning curve. And while there is a lot of activity on the architecture
layer, there isn't much OOTB functionalities for specific industries. An
ofbiz-newbie is no-doubt overwhelmed by the depth and extend of the
software. I would like to suggest that somebody look into something like
"ofbiz-industry" applications. Maybe something like
"Ofbiz-Communications/Financial Services/Healthcare/Hi-Tech/etc. Or maybe
something even more specific like Ofbiz-Retail-Clothing/Gardening etc. I
don't know how this would work. But it occurred to me that a lot of
technical people come online to look for a specific application. While we
have branches like JQuery and other in Ofbiz would it not make sense to
introduce branches along the lines of particular application - like
Ofbiz-Retail-clothing. Just a though.
