Hi Heidi,
Sorry did not get a chance to have a look, I will try...
You may help by reproducing the setting you used on stable demo
https://demo-stable.ofbiz.apache.org/catalog/control/main?USERNAME=admin&PASSWORD=ofbiz&JavaScriptEnabled=Y
http://demo-stable.ofbiz.apache.org/ecommerce/control/main
We could then check tomorrow morning (European hours) if you want. For that don't build it today but tomorrow morning at business
hours (ie after 9 AM), else it will be lost (demo restart each morning aroung 7h30)

Jacques,
What is your opinion on it?

Jacques,
I don't see the result in my release 09.04 when i set up a search
category with only one product in it for example. I still get all the
products in the search possibility in the ecommerce screen.
3.Default Search (One): if a Default Search category is configured
only the products in this category will show up in product search
results.
Have you examples that it should work in release 09.04?
Regards,
Heidi

You mean the point <<3. Default Search (One):>> here is false?

Hello,
Concept of using a search category seems not to work if the aim is to
limit the products in a search in the ecommerce screen, in release
09.04.

Heidi

Hello Carsten,
I think i have the wrong philosophy in my mind.
Do i have to add each product in a special search category (with type
"search") in order to let the search tool work optimally?
Regards,
Heidi
2012/2/16 Info Olagos <[email protected]>:
Hello Carsten,
I mean i configure some products in the catalogmanager with the "Sales
discontinuation through date" = date in the past.
When i do a certain search then in the ecommerce component, i want not
to have displayed this product as result from the search query.
However it is displayed.
For me it is an error in the searchroutine.
PS.: Is there a certain SEARCH category? I don't understand your
question: "Did you expire the products in question from your shop's
SEARCH category as well?"
Regards,
Heidi
2012/2/16 Carsten Schinzer <[email protected]>:
Hmmmm.
I assume you talk about products that have already expired, ie. the
lifecycle end-date would be < than today.
Did you expire the products in question from your shop's SEARCH
category as
well?
Once I do that to any product (regardless whether expired or nor) they
will
not be found throug the search function on the site.
All these are guesses, so could you describe symptoms using an example?
Regards
Carsten
