"suitable for production" is a subjective term and everyone will have
a different interpretation of it.
I would recommend using the 13.07 branch - mainly because support for
previous versions will wane. Why start off with a version that is
already two years old?
Another reason to go with the 13.07 branch is the improvements over
12.04 - especially thread-safety and performance.
