I think single sign on is well implemented in ofbiz. If you got a hot-deploy app, don't add an entry to handle login. The controller will automatically handle it.
If you want to customize the login page to give a look and feel of your org, which I did as well you need to modify the file at the following location. framework\common\webcommon\login.ftl All the users will be presented with this login page then.
