Hi Eric, The hot-deploy folder is where you can keep your custom application which has access to framework services, framework components as well as other application components. The custom application is recommended to be kept outside the ofbiz OOTB implementation so that you can just extend the existing capabilities plus integrate with the future versions of Ofbiz to incorporate its latest features and capabilities.
