Hello Christian,

The default pagination size being twenty, if the list is lower (i.e. with no paginate bar) it's quite easy to count the rows. If higher, you already have the number on pagination bar and then in mind when you change the paginate size.

I think that it's cleaner to remove paginate bar if not needed. But it might be a good solution to add an option on the form to enforce the pagination bar presence, even if under the limit. That's worthy of a JIRA :)
