Hi Moatasim You don't need to create a complete new chart of accounts for MARKETING as a department. By default it will use the exactly the same chart of account structure as the Company. Only if you have any specific overrides for the MARKETING do you need to include only those override accounts in a Chart of accounts for MARKETING.
What I mean here is that if for Company all Sales go to Account XYZ but for MARKETING you want them to go to Account ABC then only ABC needs to be setup in the Chart of Accounts for MARKETING. Then in the GL Account Defaults for MARKETING you map an override for the Sales to Account ABC instead of XYZ. I think you can also specify a separate invoice number prefix so for each department in the accounting setup screen. (So you can know by looking at the invoices that anything that starts MK is a MARKETING invoice and anything else is a standard Company invoice) I seem to remember that the Accounting reports should handle any rollup for departments meaning that any account bookings for departments should be displayed as part of the full main company accounts.
