Hi Jonathan, So I'm sure there are multiple ways to achieve this.
In the case where the order is backed by an order instead of stock in your warehouse maybe one way perhaps is to have a Customer Request linked to a WorkEffort which is linked to the orders. I suggested a Customer Request because it seems you need a good workflow for this process (receive the order, put it in inventory, re-package, invoice, etc ...) Perhaps others can provide some other useful ideas, the data model is big and so there are probably multiple ways to get a solution.
