Hi Felicia, This is the correct place to ask the questions you ask.
You can enter your opening (or starting balance) in the accounting application via the 'Organisational GL Settings' and subsequently the 'Accounting' option and the 'Accounting Transactions' choice. There you'll find the 'Creating an Accounting Transaction' menu item to register your opening balance, and from there the appropriate accounting line items (transaction entries).
