Hello Lars, One simple solution is you can add an custom ECA/SECA rule based on required inventory levels (can be customised using ProductFacility.minimumStock) to trigger PO creation.
Another is, you can explore some OOTB manufacturing capabilities where 'run MRP' [1] is a process by which the system proposes requirements [2] and PO can be created afterwards after approving those requirements.
