Hi everyone, after long years of following ofbiz, i might be able to finally to use it for my own venture.
We are currently running a store on wix, but are not happy. Before deciding on a system, we want to make sure to plan for the long run. As you may know, the Sales Tax calculation can often be tricky in the US. I was wondering if there was a way for ofbiz to calculate a sales tax rate based on the ShipTo address during the checkout process? I image this to be possible if one was to make an API call to an external provider, such as TaxJar or Avalara. That way one would not have to keep track of rates within ofbiz itself, even if New Rates are dynamically added to the DB after each call (not sure if that would make sense). I got to say that i am not a real Programmer... Rather a noob haha. The whole issue is just on my radar, as i work in a business that administers sales tax Compliance for US and foreign entities.
