Hi Klaus,

In OFBiz the term used for Stocktaking is  inventory adjustment

You may find some information in this page:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Order+Fulfillment+Process+Overview

BTW, thanks to Priya for this remarquable effort.

If you are interested by the accounting relation, look for " inventory
adjustment" in
https://nightlies.apache.org/ofbiz/trunk/ofbiz/html5/user-manual.html

On the other hand, for the fancy features, like barcodes, pictures, etc., you
need to customise.

Hi everyone,

I'm currently investigating if OFBiz is the right tool for me. So far it
looks quite promissing, but I'm unsure about stocktaking. The workflow
for it using OFBiz does not appear to be that great.

For stocktaking I basically was looking for a kind of inventory list,
ideally with barcode, a picture, and a storage bin location/number.

What I've seen is going to Facility, Inventory and Inventory Item
Totals. This view however is lacking for this task. But it only has the
item name, quantity, and some pricing information.

After that I've also seen the Inventory Items view, but even though it
looks better suited still isn't ideal for this task.
My main issues with this view were the inability to adjust the quantity,
it only shows the "accounting quantity total", but it doesn't allow to
e.g. set it to the actual one and show a diff of "gone missing" items,
it doesn't have pictures.

So how do you do your stocktaking? And what is the best way to do it
within OFBiz?

Sincerely,
Klaus Frank
