Hi Apache/OFBiz Community,
I am a senior Linux sysadmin in France.
I know Apache/OFBiz from many years across Free software promotion.
From some years, I have chosen to improve my skills in business
management.
Since 6 months, I work almost daily with Néréide to learn how to work
with Apache OFBiz and make it provides a solution to business. I am
still a newbie, but I begin to have some landmarks and make interesting
things.
I recognize in Apache/OFBiz a strong solution with a lot of
possibilities. But it requires enough skills and a team to make a little
ambitious project. And it could be improved in terms of ease of use at
discovering and reputation.
At this step I have to choose which energy and means I want to invest in
Apache/OFBiz. Néréide has its own way and I have to make mine. It's
important for me to know if I can be useful and what stance to take.
As we deal with a free software and have an active community, I think an
important step is know what is the strategy in the community ...
Is there a single strategy or several ? Which ones ?
Does the community want Apache/OFBIZ to be used more or just to make it
available ?
If some of you can share their ideas and feelings about this, it can be
helpful to find my way ...
