Hello to all of you in the OFBiz User ML! New joinee here, Matt Longfield, from the Pacific Northwest, Washington. I'm just now revisiting OFBiz after quite the hiatus. Current version looks great (24.9.7), installs without headache, and the few little things I've done were moderately straightforward and something I can reproduce easily across the application folder's components. Thumbs up! Ex: added findOrders as a POST method to https://localhost:8443/rest/services/findOrders and sucessfully called it via postman/insomnia with returned JSON orders by wildcard or specific orderId. I now, at least understand the basic mechanism for extending this across order, product, party, (accounting?) which should be a good beginning basis for the EDI X12, EDIFACT & cXML integrations we distributors rely on daily (850, 855, 856, 810, 852).
So, anyway, I'm inviting anyone with similar interests to reply so that we can connect, exchange ideas and just overall be community minded. I'm certainly willing to add to any conversation that benefits from B2B, EDI, EAI and tech-stack that includes FOSS, JVM, and mapping/transformation from/to X12 as it relates to distribution.
