Hi Neil, I'd say that the first place to start would be to check out these guides, and overall the Apache OODT wiki and not the website. The website is only updated on release whereas the wiki is constantly being updated:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OODT/Home Here's a link to the Component User Guides: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OODT/Component+Level+User+Guides Besides that, I would recommend checking out CAS-PGE (the "algorithm wrapper") and the guide here for an end to end example with workflow: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OODT/CAS-PGE+Learn+by+Example My recommendation would be to run through the sample workflows, check out the above wiki links and Developer and User guides for the Workflow Manager, and then try CAS-PGE. Thanks! It executes a shell script that sends preloaded data in Hive into a cache and ultimately to a UI. I am curious how I can accomplish this with OODT. I downloaded the latest version but could use some pointers on where to begin. Thanks.
