Hi Sathi,
You will need JMS setup only if you're interested in receiving push messages as
notifications. If not, you can receive SLA alerts by email too. There is a note
in the documentation about including 'SLAEmailListener' in the settings in
addition to providing an email for those alerts in your workflow xml.

 Hi Oozie community,
I have a simple requirement of failing an workflow if it is hanging and
not finished after 4hours.SLA feature seemed most immediate option to
implement this,I am looking at
http://oozie.apache.org/docs/4.0.0/DG_SLAMonitoring.html#Sample_Email_Alert
Do I need to configure mms message even if I want to use simple alert
email if an workflow was not completed (end miss scenario).I think jms is
compulsory to be able to implement sla in oozie.I still wanted to check
with you all if any of you have done similar things without need of jms.
Thanks
Sathi
