Thanks for the suggestion Oussama, unfortunately it did not resolve my
issue :(

Resulted in the following:

Error Code        : EL_ERROR
Error Message     : Encountered "pDate", expected one of [".", ">", "gt",
"<", "lt", "==", "eq", "<=", "le", ">=", "ge", "!=", "ne", ")", ",", "[",
"+", "-", "*", "/", "div", "%", "mod", "and", "&&", "or", "||", "?"]
