Yes it is.  All the work is going on in the OpenEJB 2 branch.  Anything EJB 
related in the Geronimo M1, M2, or M3 release notes is actually referring to 
development taking place in OpenEJB (Geronimo's EJB provider).

Does OpenEJB 2 support the OpenEJB 1 style configs and feature set?  No, not 
yet.  It will, though.  When it does there will be an official OpenEJB 2 
release of some sort (beta, milestone or something of that nature).

At the moment though, we are working very hard on EJB 2.1 compliance and 
filling out the last remaining peices; EJB-QL, CORBA, and Web Services.
