Hi Yuliya, no, I normally use mysql - I just forgot that I have to put that jar file into the correct lib directory.
I already had the persistence.xml file in place, just forgot about the mysql connector jar. However - now that all is in place - 3.0 doesn't want to work. I had this error one time in the past, and can't remember how I solved it. I will get back to it later, meantime, I'm still using my original 2.1, which works fine. thanks for your comments.
