1 hour seems to very good result :)
I believe this disconnection is due to connection issue.
According to "adding some notification about disconnection" it sounds
like a good idea :) Could you please create JIRA issue?

Hi everyone
I'm using OpenMeetings 2.1.1 with screensharing in order to make
lectures possible with the Professor who lives in USA.
Unfortunately periodically (after about 1h) he leaves the
OpenMeetings room (probably because loss of connection - Proffesor
lives in USA and our Uni is in Poland). Checked the Red5.log and
OM.log and couldnt find any error. Also have been testing OM in
our local network and everything seems to work fine.
As result of what I decided to change red.properities file:
maxHandshakeTimeout from 5000 to 10000
Am I'm going right way? Please help:)
By the way - found out that some pretty good thing could be added
to OM. Client with screensharing option enabled and, for example,
Mathcad,Power Point or other fullscreen program running cannot see
the camera view. So he doesn't know if he still connected (maybe
there should be some voice alert?). Tried to solve it out running
'always on top' program pointed to web browser which was resized
just to be able to see the camera view.
Thanks for any help

Thanx Maxim. Already created the JIRA issue.
Have been looking for auto-reconnection option in OM and it seems that
there is no plan for such a option due the structure of OM.
