Dashboard layout is configurable by user in 3.0 (widgets can be added/removed via settings) 2 widgets can be removed by default in admin configuration menu ( dashboard.show.myrooms dashboard.show.rssfeed)you can additionally customize (maybe hide dashboard widgets using css stylesheets)
