Yes, with the new round of webRTC upgrades I think everyone is scrambling for end-to-end cross-platform compatibility. Lots of work, lots of devs, and it is going to cost money to feed them! Then time to test, fix bugs. Maybe things will be more clear in a few months. OTOH, nobody wants to be left behind, so..
