SSL is working fine on Centos 7 as with real certificates but also with
self-signed ones.

Now I’ve tested with OM 4.0.1.

The earlier versions of OM with both certificate types worked also.

Best regards

Nik

Greetings.

In web-server IIS self-signed certificate I can do in 3 clicks. OpenMeetings is
specific software and as Solodovnik said here [email protected]
before, it based not on simple web-server like IIS or Apache, but on Apache
Tomcat(java). It not simple to do by instruction on Linux, but on Windows It is
even more difficult. It is not standard issue to do SSL on this.

There is no one reason to do ACL to OM if it can be hacked just because doesn’t
exist protection by SSL to http, so instruction to OM I think it is first as
need it.

Sorry, in my Windows 10 with OpenMeetings 4.0.1

and Firefox 57.04 (64bit), the cam and the audio works

right without ssl. And recording too.

Respect to add ssl to my tutorials, i prefere to make them

the most simples possible, so can be understand it by newbies.

To make a ssl tutorial, i have not free time to do it.

Sorry.

Dear Alvaro,

As we know latest browsers Chrome, Opera, Mozilla are not working when comes
to switch mic or webcam in Openmeetings. User can access to webcam only by
setting SSL .

Could you please create a new tutorial or add to existing tutorial detail
instruction for SSL/RTPS based on Ubuntu 16 or 17? ( for example self-signed
certificate)

Step by step and very simple ( for example self-signed certificate)

Current instruction it not clear for me and users like me :)
