This is great news that OM5 will support WebRTC. :-)

It will be really interesting to see if we can use Kurento's Tree API (source/sink) then OM will have great horizontal scalability.

Hello All,

I would like to start new mail thread on topic
So we can discuss setup and other related questions here

Multimedia functions of OM5 will not work without Kurento Media Server (KMS)
Previous versions of OM had Red5 multimedia server bundled
Unfortunately Red5 doesn't support WebRTC

WebRTC multimedia server also requires STUN/TURN server to work in
partially closed networks
i.e. some or all users are behind the firewall

KMS installation is described here:
https://doc-kurento.readthedocs.io/en/stable/user/installation.html

There are several open source STUN/TURN servers available
I have some limited experience with `coturn` server
https://github.com/coturn/coturn

I'll to answer your questions :)
