it's not necessary to hide the userlist completely.
It will be enough when the the user only see himself in the list. And
the moderator (admin?) see the complete list.

buttons to start/stop audio/video stream and to request ant rights are
located on sidebar
In case user list and files area will be hidden - sidebar also need to
be removed
Maybe you can share some picture demonstration how this could look like?

Today I tried to configure a room where only the moderator can see

userlist. All other members shoulöd not see which other persons
are online.
I have a look into the "hidden room elements" in the
room-configuration.
But the userlist is not one of the elements I can hide.
Have anyone an idea?
