Hello Maxim,

we use OM 5.1.0 since March or April this year.
Bevor we used (and still use it at the moment) OM 4.0 on a windows server.
The change is necessary because of EOL of FlashPlayer.
We saw that OM 5 don’t need FlashPlayer any more so we decided to change to
this version.
Our environment runs entirely on vmware. We use thinclients and Windows
Terminalserver without connection to the internet.
For my first test of the new version I installed on my private Laptop Debian in
a VirtualBox.
Here I used your guide, but OM doesn’t work and I got always the message
“connection to KMS failed” or similar.
I saw that the KMS is running under Debian in Docker and under Ubuntu 18.04 in
a local installation.
I thought it’s maybe a problem with docker so I decided to try it with Ubuntu
18.04, using your guide and everything worked fine.
After some successful tests at my private Laptop we decided to use it so I’ll
will install a new and fresh maschine.
At this installation I found out that 6.1 was released so I installed it.
Everything looks good and I transferred this image in our environment.
Here we got a problem. When I try to send out an invitation to a meeting no
form appeared. Only the monitor was grayed out and nothing happens.
We have determined this behavior with all forms when we use virtual maschines
like our Terminalserver.
When I use a physical Maschine everything works fine.
In OM 5.1.0 this could not be determined, so I decided to use 5.1.0 at Ubuntu
18.04.
If necessary we will try to update the KMS.
For to do it we use here Nexus and we must insert the Repositories there.
For Ubuntu the repositories are already inserted there. I think for to update
the KMS we must insert the Repositories at the Nexus.
Can we use these two Links:
deb [arch=amd64] http://mirror.yandex.ru/ubuntu/ bionic main restricted
deb [arch=amd64] http://mirror.yandex.ru/ubuntu/ bionic universe
which are listed in the installation instructions?
Can we do the same to install the TURN?

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Cordialment / Saludos / Best Regards

Walter Dreher

Hello Walter,

Since you are at OM 5.1.0 (which is a bit old)
Is it possible you are using some old KMS?

TURN might be required in LAN due to WebRTC is peer-to-peer so not only client
should be able to connect the server
but the server should be able to connect the clients ...

...sorry Walter, you are right. Don´t need Coturn.

If some one is in a Apple machine (iMac...) try to
turn the firewall off. To me that works.

Maxim will help you when get free time.
