Hi,
It looks that it "works" for me…

I started ownCloud client (1.5.3) on openSuSe with --logwindow. The
resulting log contains no reference to "remotepollinterval" or the value
of "300000" I put in there. The log contains the following "Polling" lines:
05-21 20:05:39:750 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 30 s)
05-21 20:06:26:759 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 30 s)
05-21 20:06:59:803 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 30 s)
05-21 20:07:29:803 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 60 s)
05-21 20:07:59:803 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 90 s)
05-21 20:08:29:804 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 120 s)
05-21 20:08:59:803 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 150 s)
05-21 20:09:29:803 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 180 s)
05-21 20:09:59:802 * Polling "ownCloud" for changes. (time since last
sync: 210 s)
From the fourth line the timestamp grows constantly with 30 seconds?
I compiled the 1.6.0 version myself and changed the constant
DEFAULT_REMOTE_POLL_INTERVALL to 600000. The new version still polls
every 30 seconds?
