Hi list,
Sadly Updater v0.3 shipped with OC 6.0.3 | 6.0.4 does not resolve
symlinks in path to the datadir. This might cause an user data loss e.g.
in case if you moved the data dir somewhere and symlinked an old dir to
a new one (or did the same to the whole ownCloud instance). My apologies
for introducing this issue.
To fix it you need either to
- apply the following patch [1]
- or just download Updater v0.3.1 from app store [2] and overwrite the
existing app with it.
Remember, that there is no better strategy than regular backups in order
to keep your data safe and datadir/database backup is strongly
recommended [3] before doing an upgrade.
