I've just tested with existing users and it works as you say. It'd be nice to log every attempt. Like this is theretically possible to find existing usernames in my setup (fail2ban only blocks existing users). Another thing it's not logging are failed attempts to access public shares protected with password. Is there something I can do to log them?
