I'm trying to mirror an Owncloud installation from my desktop machine
(which provides Owncloud on my LAN at home) to my hosting provider.

I alread clone/mirror a DokuWiki installation and that works perfectly
so the environments can't be *that* different.

However when I go to the Owncloud start page (which should ask me to
log in) on my hosting server I just get the following:-

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in
/var/sites/i/isbd.net/public_html/owncloud/index.php on line 30

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in
/var/sites/i/isbd.net/public_html/owncloud/index.php on line 30

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_VARIABLE in
/var/sites/i/isbd.net/public_html/owncloud/index.php on line 30

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? If the mirrored copy
just needs a few tweaks to make it work then that's fine, I have shell
access to my web hosting.
