[Re-post as I sent it to the wrong list before]

Hi folks,

I've been using ownCloud for a couple of years but recently I've noticed a problem when moving/renaming files.

My ownCloud server is running CentOS 6 with ownCloud 7.0.4-17.1 from the isv_ownCloud_community repo.

My client is running Fedora 21 with owncloud-client 1.7.1-1.4 from the isv_ownCloud_desktop repo.

Recently I've been sorting out my MP3 collection by using MusicBrainz Picard, It fills in the tags from an online database, and then renames the files to match the tags. My music library is stored in ownCloud but I've noticed after altering/renaming a file to a new filename or directory, ownCloud client uploads the new copy to the server but then also notices that the old copy is "missing" and restores it from the server.

The activity log in ownCloud client shows an error "Not allowed to remove, restoring".

I can't find much info about this - can anyone explain why it is happening and how to avoid? At the moment it's a problem because Picard might rename 1000 MP3s and then ownCloud will effectively duplicate those files.

Thanks,
Jonathan
