Hi Mark I’ll maintain the Notes application (whereas maintain means adding a few features and ensuring nothing will explode ;-))
I just merged an oC8 compatible version on https://github.com/owncloud/notes, that should work fine. Haven’t uploaded it to the AppStore yet though.
