For the record, I solved my problem like this: 1. Without an internet connection, I opened the sync client and removed the folder that had been deleted from the "Account" tab. 2. Connected to the internet. The client synced all my other folders. 3. Disconnected (just for security, probably not necessary) 4. Created a new file on ~/.local/share/data/ownCloud/folders to sync the deleted folder, pointing to the target (server) folder (used another folder present there as a template). 5. Connected to the internet again. Martin
