I experienced the same. But I failed to notice until users suddenly lost all their contacts on their phones!! Yes, they were (and are) listed as experimental and after I did the installation owncloud just hung till I refreshed the page where it took me to the installation page. I actually appreciated this. The advice it had given me was actually useful. I tweaked a few settings to improve security and haven't had a problem. > But never mind, just needed to tell.
