Everyone has a login. Under each person there is a “shared” directory which shares read-only to everyone else on the system (and of course read/write to them) and anything else can be shared on a case by case basis. When I log in, I see the “shared” directory, and can browse anything I wish below that, my shared files which I can browse and update, and my not shared tree which may be shared with someone specific, or not, at my desire. Does that make sense?
