Hello Emil, We did not find any problems with this combination in testing. If you want to minimize the chance of incompatibilities, you may want to rebuild both HBase and Phoenix with the exact Hadoop version you have deployed.
However, I do not recall problems with Hadop wire incompatibilities between different minor versions, so this is optional. Note that the next HBase and Hadoop releases are both going to be built with Hadoop 3.4.1. regards Istvan On Mon, Feb 10, 2025 at 9:02 AM Emil Kleszcz <emil.kles...@cern.ch> wrote: > Hello, > > I am using Phoenix 5.2.1 built against Hadoop 3.3.6 and HBase > 2.5.10-hadoop3 dependencies. > I noticed that HBase 2.5.10-hadoop3 is build against different Hadoop > minor version 3.2.4 in the Maven central repository. > Can this cause any issues and if so how would you handle this dependency > issue?
