It would be very easy to extend TOKENIZE to have a constructor that accepts
however many delimiters. I'm not sure why this hasn't been done...if there
isn't some design reason why this shouldn't be done, it'd be a 3 line
patch. Make a ticket and I'll do it if you don't want to :)
