I agree that focusing development on features that will help move the platform forward makes the most sense. The IDE plugin and BXML doclet would be at the top of my list. However, "cross-pollintation" within the ASF is also a good thing. It would be ideal if someone in the Tomcat development community was interested in pursuing something like this. G
