As you can see from the following ticket, we are aware of limitations with keyboard handling and focus. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PIVOT-610 I have experienced similar issues, but none were problematic (or irritating) enough for me to create a ticket, but feel free to add a new ticket to JIRA explaining the behaviour you expect.
