Would it take long to knock up a simple demo using WPF and make a short screencast to demonstrate the kind of thing you want? .(Others on the list have used http://www.screenr.com recently, but anything would do) Actually, even a few static before & after screenshots might suffice. One quick (and for once, not overly dirty) solution springs to mind, but I need to understand your requirements better. I think I get the basics of it, but am not 100% sure. I have a backlog of things to clear at the moment, but will try to make and post a demo of my hack idea ASAP (if it turns out to work). Chris
