Hi Roger, another idea: I have to ask to a friend, at work they have many Servers like yours (I ask if they have the same red hat enterprise version virtualized on some server...).
Let's update (I hope soon) ... if you have some news, tell me. In any case I'd try to contact VMWare and Red Hat, and maybe even Oracle, to see if it's a known issue ...
