Background paint

Hi,

I know ComponentSkin supports setting backgroundPaint of a component.
But I can't find in the docs an example, how to actually set it.
I'd like to set a gradient background of a component, e.g. a Border,
Label or TextPane.
What is the easiest way to achieve this?
