Yes, it is planned but not for the upcoming 3.5. I think realistic time when it
is supported is the second half of 2009.

I would like to know if for 3.5 it is planned to support charts?
I am basically only interested in the new OOXML version (XSSF).
As everything is available in XML this would be a lot easier to
accomplish than with those binary records of the earlier formats,
wouldn't it?
