I am trying to explore Jakarta POI and downloaded the files from

There are three JAR files downloaded
poi-3.2-FINAL-20081019.jar
poi-contrib-3.2-FINAL-20081019.jar
poi-scratchpad-3.2-FINAL-20081019.jar
Tried to use the sample code at the links below, but the JAR files doesn't
seem to work.

Java version on my eclipse is 1.4
Please let me know where I am doing wrong.
