The work on array formulas is in progress.
The patch submitted in Bugzilla 48292 (https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=48292) contains recent changes
related to array formulas support. Some parts of the patch are already in trunk, at least, basic usermodel operations
with array formulas are supported.
Please follow poi-dev to track progress.

(sorry i am new to this list, so if i'm doing something wrong, point me
to faq, how-to, better suited lists, etc.)
is there any way to make array formulas work in hssf? i know it's not
supported but the bug/issue
(https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=46989) is dated
2009-04-07 with no updates since. any nightly/experimental builds,
patches? or some undocumented approach?
