Which version of excel do you use ?
Have you tried with the latest version of POI, or do you absolutely need to
stick with poi 2.6?
For me it always return a zero height with 3.6+
Do you have some controls on the creation of the input files?
Maybe you could set the row heights explicitly to 0 instead of hiding the rows.

Unfortunately, row.getZeroHeight() is not working, either. When I query the
heights of each rows, the hidden rows return a height of 255, which, as I
understand it, is the default height. Any further ideas? Thank you all for
