My goal is to generate an Excel spreadsheet, allowing certain cells to be locked and other unlocked, and then protect the sheet. So far this has worked out well, with one exception. I was hoping to be able to prevent the user from selecting "locked" cells, as I can in Excel. Is there anyway to duplicate that in POI 3.8 beta 5? I am using the ss usermodel, but am generating XLSX files. I can do either if there is a way in HSSF or XSSF that is not available in the other.
