Hi Mark, Yes, that is right. I have an xlsx file where there are certain cells and I want to know their forground / background colour. I don't get the correct colour info from the CellStyle object of the Cell. I think it's a bug with XSSF related objects. But I want apache to accept this. I am using latest 3.8 POI jar file.
I don't know why can't attach a file with this email address. Can I just check that you are trying to get the fill foreground and fill background colours from a cell style and not seeing what you expect? If that is the case, I will try to create a test file myself here (both using Excel and POI XWPF) and make sure that I am getting at both. If that code works, I will post it for you to try and see if you still experience the problem. If so, then we can unzip the files and see what differs as that might point to the problem. Will post again soon. Tomorrow, I am working on another site and may not be able to post anything until late in the day.
